Charleston – May 1

We rented a car yesterday afternoon to run several errands. We asked for a compact, but they were out so gave us a PT Cruiser instead. That’s the first time we’ve been in one and it was interesting. We went to Sam’s Club, Wal-Mart, Office Depot, Lowes and West Marine. We drove through a lot of neighborhoods while getting to all these stores. We enjoyed seeing different parts of Charleston.

This morning Darrell made another run to West Marine before returning the car. The afternoon was filled with small chores around the boat getting ready to leave tomorrow morning. Beth has been doing some cleaning, there was quite a bit of soot inside after the mechanic used a torch in the engine room to heat some bolts to get them off.

We are very anxious to resume our trip and are looking forward to tomorrow.
